BACnet technology enables BEC to provide a level of flexibility and inter-operability with other systems such as lighting, packaged HVAC plant, fire alarms, security and access controls that is not available with conventional proprietary BMS systems. BEC firmly believes that the future belongs to open systems such as BACnet and not proprietary closed systems which lock the customer into one particular manufacturer.
